Why Summer Birthdays Aren't As Fun As People Think..

Hi! Greetings from the terrible heatwave-infected Ireland that is melting the entire population because we haven't had one in years.. (ok it's only about 25-30 degrees *Celsius* but that's very strange for Irish summers!)

So yes in case you haven't guessed from the title I am blessed with having a birthday in summer! July the 21st 1994 was when the world was first forced to put up with me and so far in my life it has proved to be a good and bad date for a birthday, with the bad outweighing the good in my opinion.

Firstly: The Good

Ehh.. I guess there was a chance for me to ever have school on my birthday! 

As in Ireland primary school ends at the end of June, secondary school ends at the end of May/very start of June unless you have exams which means you get your holidays in mid/late June and in university, well it depends on the university, but they are all finished in May anyway! This year I finished my uni exams on the 21st of May which gave me a 4 month long holiday...which I should have spent working but jobs are really hard to find here unless you have a friend or relation who works in the place and gets the opening for you as soon as it is open! Plus I was supposed to go to China for a month on a scholarship but that all fell apart thanks to lack of organisation on the Chinese university's part.. But yes I got off track there! In conclusion, I never ever had school on my birthday or during my birth month at all!

What else...

Harry Potter always tended to come out around my birthday.. But that series is over now.. And I never was a huge fan. I read all the books, watched all the films but I never was obsessed with it or anything. It was grand. I'm more of a Lord of the Rings/Hobbit nerd really..

Misconceptions: That the weather will be good on your birthday.

No. I live in Ireland. You can never guarantee good weather at any time of the year!

Secondly: The Bad.

You're not in school. That's only bad because you are not guaranteed you will see all your friends and also you don't see the people you are friendly with..  

  And then when you're in uni your friends there generally can't be with you on your birthday as they live in another part of the country or abroad and are working or travelling. So you don't see them for another 2 months, in my case, afterwards and by then there's no point celebrating your birthday! 

The definite main thing that is bad about having a summer birthday is that it is holiday season.

Misconception: "Yay! I get to spend my birthday on holiday!"

No, it means your friends will be away on holiday during your birthday, your parents are away on holiday on your birthday, you are travelling on your birthday, etc. Yes my parents once were on holiday for my birthday! I think it was my 15th birthday? Something like that.. They rang me! Once.. Early in the morning... While I was still in bed... Didn't even get a lie-in on my birthday...

  Yes anyway! I also have had the joy of being stuck in a car for hours on end travelling to our holiday destination AND also had the joy of being stuck in an airport waiting for your delayed plane home on my birthday! Fun times!

In conclusion:

I am not going to have birthdays any more. I don't really like getting things from people without earning it and I don't have a sweet tooth. So I don't think I'll miss my birthday much. I'll just age up when the year changes or pretend to be in my late teens forever!

Nah I just lacked motivation when I had a shitty internet connection and a long walk in and out of uni every day to tire me out! So now that uni is over and I have rested for a week and a bit now I feel it's about time I get on track and start doing productive stuff!

This isn't like the rest of the spurts of motivation I get for one night only. I will persist in actually doing something with this blog *cough* andmaybethisonetoo *cough*

So I have decided to dump the review of Delight's debut as it is ridiculously out of date. All you need to know is that I really liked it and felt people should have given them more of a chance rather than dismiss them as being shouty, in my opinion the that was raw ferocity, and perhaps the fact that everything about them wasn't as high budget as most other groups they never got properly showcased and got lost in all the glitter and sparkles of other groups.

As I believe I have stated before this blog won't be explicitly K-pop although it probably will play a big role. Seeing as it's kind of all I do...all day every day..now that I'm on summer holidays anyway~

Blogging Activity

Yeah so let's think back to the optimistic beginning of this blog~ Well I thought I actually was going to take time to post on here and voice my opinion.......and then I procrastinated!!

Well honestly I have a handful of posts saved in my drafts that I never really managed to finish. Hopefully some day they will see the light of day, that is if they are good! One in particular requires thought but I really want to finish it and post it some day as it involves two of my obsessions, one being Kpop and the other..well telling would spoil the post so I'll just leave it for my friends and family to easily guess and for the rest of the internet to just be patient~

The purpose of this post is mainly to tell myself to quit procrastinating. Earlier I stumbled upon a Kpop blog that sparked my interest. I read through one of their posts about overrated idols, I agreed with most of them however I felt they were being unnecessarily dickhead-ish about it. I get that some people feel the need to insult every celebrity for the sake of "comedy", however for me personally dissing a person you have never met and, let's face it, will never meet is just uncalled for. You don't know this person. Simple as! For me getting worked up like that over a celebrity will just put me in a bad mood. And why should a person who you never have and never will meet put you in a bad mood?! Stupid really..

So basically that blog I read earlier inspired me to actually start doing stuff on this blog. I'm not saying I will be nice about everything. But I will try be fair while still being honest.

Now begin!....again?

In the beginning...

In the beginning there was emptiness and now there isn't.

Anyway, I decided to start a blog last month and that is how this was born. The only problem was that it was right before my college exams that I decided to start this so I couldn't blog back then. But now I'm finished exams and sexy, free and single~ *cue the clapping dance part* yes i was too lazy to find a gif of that.

I have decided that this blog will potentially become a ranting one. Well, one where I give my opinions on various things such as new songs and music videos and maybe the occasional random topic, just whatever seems to be on my mind really. I try to on twitter but I often get frustrated with breaking my argument into 140 characters or different tweets. It just makes everything lose it's flow in my opinion.. Also by doing this on here I will be able to properly format my points and try and make sense rather than seem like a crazy ranting fangirl who has no knowledge on the subject.

A few points before I start:

1. I tend to have the highest expectations of my favourite group, DBSK (That includes DB5K, HoMin and JYJ), and criticise them the most.
2. I also tend to be very harsh towards my biases in a pathetic attempt to not be biased. wu fan you cannot rap why do you try you look like a fool. 
3. I'm not experienced in the whole blogging scene, so this may be a bit awkward at first but I'll try my best~ I will try and learn from my chingu and blogging sunbae Shaunanana

I'll try not to be too awkward and shy in the beginning as I figure this all out~
